Small animal cages are easily warmed with a heat lamp. Realizing that laboratory applications are diverse, Stoelting can provide several versions of the TC. The model specified depends on whether a laboratory has a general or specific need for the controller:</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50320:</strong> This version controls only powered heating or cooling devices such as a heat lamp. It is the least costly.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50321: </strong>This model provides a low voltage DC output for electrically sensitive applications where frequencies might interfere with other monitoring devices. It comes standard with a built in DC power supply designed to operate with our Heat Plate for small rodents.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50322:</strong> This is a combination version which includes both an outlet for controlling primarily resistance loads such as heat lamps and a low-voltage, low noise DC output for heat plate. This version allows you to control a variety of different loads.</p>\r\n
<p>All TC versions may be used with any of our extensive line of accurate Type T thermocouple probes, which act as the temperature feedback sensor. Most commonly used are the animal rectal probes that we offer:</p>\r\n

<p><strong>50312 - Large Animal Probe: </strong>Rectal probe for neonatal rabbits, cats, and larger animals. Flexible, vinyl covered probe has a soft tip. Does not cause discomfort. Isolated.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50313 Rat Probe: </strong>Rectal probe for rats. Use for fast intermittent measurements. Probe has a smooth ball tip and 1" long stainless steel shaft and 0.059" diamater. Not isolated.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50314 - Mouse Probe:</strong> Rectal probe for mice and other small rodents. Construction similar to the 50313 Rat Probe, but with 3/4" shaft and 0.028" diameter. Not Isolated.</p>\r\n
<p>The temperature controller unit comes in durable, baked enamel painted aluminum housing. Adjustable front feet allow the user to raise the front of controller to provide a more convenient viewing angle.</p>\r\n
<p>The TC is simple to set-up; connect the feedback sensor probe to the animal and to the back of the controller, connect the heating plate or lamp to the appropriate outlet on the rear of the controller. Adjust the set temperature as required (lower green display) according to the instruction label on top of the instrument. The set temperature is stored in memory after the unit is switched off.</p>\r\n

<p><strong>Heat Lamp:</strong> Optional infrared heat lamp is table mounted with an adjustable swing arm providing for easy adjustment of radiant heat to specimen. It has a feedback sensor to prevent overheating when used with our TC series of controllers. The lamp is supplied with a 250W (infrared) heat lamp bulb and a built in reflector. A chrome bulb guard is also provided and easily snaps onto the lamp housing after the bulb is installed. Fits standard 110V socket.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>Heat Plate: </strong>Optional direct current heating plate for small rodents (mice and rats). Standard plate is black anodized aluminum and measures 4" x 6" with small feet giving it an elevation of 1/4" above the surface it sits on, such as a table or stereotaxic stage. It is easily cleaned with alcohol. It has a feedback sensor to prevent overheating when used with our TC series of controllers. Custom sizes are also available with longer lead times.</p>\r\n

Small animal cages are easily warmed with a heat lamp. Realizing that laboratory applications are diverse, Stoelting can provide several versions of the TC. The model specified depends on whether a laboratory has a general or specific need for the controller:</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50320:</strong> This version controls only powered heating or cooling devices such as a heat lamp. It is the least costly.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50321: </strong>This model provides a low voltage DC output for electrically sensitive applications where frequencies might interfere with other monitoring devices. It comes standard with a built in DC power supply designed to operate with our Heat Plate for small rodents.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50322:</strong> This is a combination version which includes both an outlet for controlling primarily resistance loads such as heat lamps and a low-voltage, low noise DC output for heat plate. This version allows you to control a variety of different loads.</p>\r\n
<p>All TC versions may be used with any of our extensive line of accurate Type T thermocouple probes, which act as the temperature feedback sensor. Most commonly used are the animal rectal probes that we offer:</p>\r\n

<p><strong>50312 - Large Animal Probe: </strong>Rectal probe for neonatal rabbits, cats, and larger animals. Flexible, vinyl covered probe has a soft tip. Does not cause discomfort. Isolated.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50313 Rat Probe: </strong>Rectal probe for rats. Use for fast intermittent measurements. Probe has a smooth ball tip and 1" long stainless steel shaft and 0.059" diamater. Not isolated.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>50314 - Mouse Probe:</strong> Rectal probe for mice and other small rodents. Construction similar to the 50313 Rat Probe, but with 3/4" shaft and 0.028" diameter. Not Isolated.</p>\r\n
<p>The temperature controller unit comes in durable, baked enamel painted aluminum housing. Adjustable front feet allow the user to raise the front of controller to provide a more convenient viewing angle.</p>\r\n
<p>The TC is simple to set-up; connect the feedback sensor probe to the animal and to the back of the controller, connect the heating plate or lamp to the appropriate outlet on the rear of the controller. Adjust the set temperature as required (lower green display) according to the instruction label on top of the instrument. The set temperature is stored in memory after the unit is switched off.</p>\r\n

<p><strong>Heat Lamp:</strong> Optional infrared heat lamp is table mounted with an adjustable swing arm providing for easy adjustment of radiant heat to specimen. It has a feedback sensor to prevent overheating when used with our TC series of controllers. The lamp is supplied with a 250W (infrared) heat lamp bulb and a built in reflector. A chrome bulb guard is also provided and easily snaps onto the lamp housing after the bulb is installed. Fits standard 110V socket.</p>\r\n
<p><strong>Heat Plate: </strong>Optional direct current heating plate for small rodents (mice and rats). Standard plate is black anodized aluminum and measures 4" x 6" with small feet giving it an elevation of 1/4" above the surface it sits on, such as a table or stereotaxic stage.
